Overview
This guide will walk you through connecting Corys Electrical to ZYNOFF, enabling automatic import of product catalogues and pricing information. By integrating Corys Electrical, you can access their complete range of electrical supplies and components directly within ZYNOFF, eliminating manual product entry and ensuring your pricing stays current. Once connected, all Corys products sync automatically to your Products and Services library, ready for use in quotes and purchase orders.
Getting Started
To access the Corys Electrical integration, navigate to Control Center > Integrations from the left sidebar. You must have administrator access to connect third-party supplier integrations to your ZYNOFF workspace.
You will need a valid Corys Electrical API key before proceeding. If you don't have an API key, contact Corys Electrical to request one for your account.
Step 1: Navigate to Integrations
From your ZYNOFF dashboard, locate the Control Center section in the left sidebar and click on Integrations. The Integrations page displays all available third-party connections organised by category.
Locating Integration Suppliers
The Integrations page is organised into several categories. Scroll down to find the Integration Suppliers section, which contains available supplier connections including Corys Electrical.
Corys Electrical is an electrical supplies and components provider with automated invoice processing integration. Their integration enables you to:
- Import complete product catalogues automatically
- Access current pricing and stock information
- Create quotes and purchase orders with Corys products
- Sync product data regularly to maintain accuracy
Step 2: Initiate Connection
To connect Corys Electrical to your ZYNOFF workspace, click the green Connect button on the Corys Electrical integration card.
Connection Modal
After clicking Connect, the "Connect Corys Electrical" modal opens. This modal provides information about the integration and requests your API key.
The modal displays:
- Corys Electrical logo and name
- Integration description: "Electrical supplies and components provider with automated invoice processing"
- API Key field: Where you'll enter your authentication credentials
Step 3: Enter Your API Key
To authenticate your connection, you need to enter your Corys Electrical API key in the provided field.
Obtaining Your API Key
Before proceeding, ensure you have your Corys Electrical API key. To obtain an API key:
- Contact Corys Electrical's customer support or account manager
- Request API access for ZYNOFF integration
- Provide your Corys Electrical account details for verification
- Receive your unique API key via email or through your Corys account portal
Note: Keep your API key secure and do not share it with unauthorised individuals.
Entering the API Key
- Click in the API Key field in the connection modal
- Paste or enter your complete API key exactly as provided by Corys Electrical
- Verify that the API key has been entered correctly with no extra spaces or characters
Step 4: Complete the Connection
Once you've entered your API key, you can complete the connection process.
Saving the Connection
- Review your API key entry for accuracy
- Click the green Connect button at the bottom right of the modal
- Alternatively, click Close if you need to cancel the connection
Import Process Begins
After clicking Connect, ZYNOFF initiates the import process. You'll see status notifications indicating the progress of the connection.
Import Pending
Initially, you'll see an "Import Pending" notification with the message "Import is queued and will begin shortly." This indicates that ZYNOFF has accepted your API key and scheduled the product import.
Import in Progress
Once the import starts, the notification changes to "Import in Progress" with the message "Sync started." The import process may take several minutes depending on the size of the Corys Electrical product catalogue.
During the import process, the page displays:
- Key: Your masked API key (showing only partial characters for security)
- Sync Type: Last Imported
- Price Book: Status of price book availability
Note: Do not close your browser or navigate away from ZYNOFF during the import process. Whilst the import continues in the background, staying on the page allows you to monitor progress and receive immediate confirmation when complete.
Step 5: Verify Successful Import
After the import completes, ZYNOFF displays a success notification confirming that all product data has been synced.
Import Success Notification
The "Last Import Successful" notification appears in green at the top of the integration page, displaying:
- Status message: "Last Import Successful"
- Import details: Number of products synced (inserted and updated)
- Prices: Pricing information status (fresh or stale)
- Last import date: Timestamp of the most recent successful import
Updated Integration Status
After successful import, navigate back to the main Integrations page by clicking the Back button in the top right corner.
On the Integrations page, the Corys Electrical card now displays a green "Connected" badge, indicating the integration is active and products have been imported successfully.
Step 6: Access Imported Products
Once the Corys Electrical integration is complete, all imported products become available in your Products and Services library.
Viewing Corys Products
- Navigate to Libraries > Products & Services from the left sidebar
- The Products and Services page displays all available products in your system
- Use the Supplier filter dropdown to view only Corys Electrical products
- Click the Supplier dropdown and select Corys Electrical
Using Imported Products
You can now use Corys Electrical products throughout ZYNOFF:
- Quotes: Add products to customer quotes with current pricing
- Jobs: Include products in job specifications
- Purchase Orders: Create purchase orders directly with Corys Electrical
Managing Your Corys Electrical Integration
After connecting Corys Electrical, you can manage the integration settings and monitor sync status.
Accessing Integration Settings
- Navigate to Control Center > Integrations
- Click the Connected tab to view active integrations
- Locate the Corys Electrical card in the Integration Suppliers section
- Click on the Corys Electrical card to view details
Integration Details Page
The Corys Electrical integration detail page displays:
- API Key: Your masked authentication key
- Sync Type: Last Imported (indicates manual or automatic sync)
- Price Book: Timestamp of the most recent price book update
- Import Status: Current status and history of product imports
Triggering Manual Sync
If you need to update product information or pricing:
- Navigate to the Corys Electrical integration detail page
- Look for a Sync Now or Refresh option (if available)
- Click to initiate a manual product import
- Wait for the import process to complete
Note: ZYNOFF may automatically sync Corys Electrical products at scheduled intervals. Check with your account administrator for automatic sync frequency settings.
Updating Your API Key
If your Corys Electrical API key changes or expires:
- Navigate to the Corys Electrical integration detail page
- Locate the API Key field
- Enter your new API key
- Click Save or Update to apply changes
- Monitor the import status to confirm successful reconnection
Disconnecting the Integration
If you need to disconnect Corys Electrical:
- Navigate to the Corys Electrical integration detail page
- Look for a Disconnect or Remove Integration option
- Click the disconnect option
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Warning: Disconnecting the integration will stop automatic product updates. Previously imported products will remain in your Products and Services library but will no longer receive pricing or availability updates from Corys Electrical.
Best Practices
- Verify API key carefully: Double-check your API key before clicking Connect to avoid authentication errors. An incorrect API key will cause the connection to fail and require re-entry.
- Monitor initial import: Stay on the integration page during the first import to ensure it completes successfully. Note the number of products synced for future reference.
- Use supplier filters: When working with products from multiple suppliers, use the supplier filter in Products and Services to quickly locate Corys items.
Troubleshooting
Connection fails with API key error
If you receive an error message when entering your API key:
- Verify that you've copied the entire API key without any extra spaces or characters
- Check that your API key hasn't expired by contacting Corys Electrical
- Ensure your Corys Electrical account is active and in good standing
- Try copying the API key again from your Corys account portal or confirmation email
- If the error persists, request a new API key from Corys Electrical support
Import appears stuck at "Import Pending"
If the import status remains at "Import Pending" for more than 15 minutes:
- Refresh the page to see if the status has updated
- Navigate away and return to the integration page to trigger a status refresh
No products appear after successful import
If the import shows success but you can't find Corys products:
- Navigate to Libraries > Products & Services
- Check that you're viewing the correct workspace if you have multiple
- Use the search bar to look for a known Corys product name or code
- Clear any active filters that might be hiding imported products
- Select "Corys Electrical" from the Supplier dropdown filter
- If products still don't appear, check the import statistics on the integration page to confirm the product count
Import failed notification appears
If you see an "Import Failed" or error notification:
- Verify your API key hasn't been revoked or changed
- Check that your Corys Electrical account hasn't been suspended
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting with a fresh API key
Unable to locate imported products in quotes
If you can't add Corys products when creating quotes:
- Confirm the products imported successfully by checking Products & Services
- Verify you're using the product search function correctly in the quote builder
- Try filtering specifically for Corys Electrical products in the product selector
